LEGO® What's On: May Madness, events at LEGO® Certified Stores (Bricks World) in May...

... and what to look forward to in June.

LEGO® Mini Monthly Build

This month's LEGO Mini Monthly Build saw our enthusiastic participants building a Little Red Tractor.  This vintage model is the 5th in this year's selection and includes big wheels, muffler, hitch at the back and a fun hood emblem.  Keep an eye out for June's build, celebrating summer with the LEGO Surfer Dragon!

LEGO® Mother's Day Make & Take

For the 2nd year running young LEGO fans were invited in-store to build LEGO roses to take home to Mum. The flower that never dies was available in red or pink this year and certainly led to many happily families if these smiles are anything to go by.

LEGO® Brand Ribbon Build

Also for our younger fans May is the month of the bi-annual LEGO Brand Ribbon build.  Lucky participants came in-store and helped us build the new second half year sets for display in the LEGO Brand Ribbons.  In return for their help they each took home a free LEGO set of their own from the previous half year releases.  The next LEGO Brand Ribbon Build will be held in December.

LEGO® Creative Boost Workshops

And finally for the younger ones May also saw the launch of 5 weekly LEGO Creative Boost Workshops in collaboration with the Plaza Singapura Family Lounge.  Participants were set various coding challenges to learn how to operate Vernie.  Vernie can be taught to do and say almost anything with the right coding.  And, lucky participants also got a voucher to help them buy their own LEGO Creative Boost that same day.  More workshops to come every weekend in June.

Adult Fans Of LEGO® Night

Not forgeting our adult fans, the bi monthly AFOL event has become one of the most talked about LEGO socials in town.  This month's night featured the ever present quiz, testing your LEGO knowledge and a new film based build challenge: building a Jurassic World Diorama.  Finally the adult fans were treated to previews and pre-orders of 10261 LEGO Creator Expert Roller Coaster, 21041 & 21042 LEGO Architecture Great Wall of China and Statue of Liberty and the new LEGO UniKitty sets.  More fun for our AFOLs in July.  In the meantime do visit our stores in June to view and vote on the MOC's built by some adult fans for the MOC competition.

As well as more Mini Monthly Builds and LEGO Creative Boost Workshops, the June Holidays promise to be busy with LEGO® Technic Tuesday on 19th June, followed shortly after by LEGO® Games Night on 21st June.  Both will be held at our JEM store this month.  For more details please see our store calendar and FB postings.
